Job Description:
MJM is seeking skilled, self-motivated individuals who have recently graduated from an accredited architectural or interior architectural program, preferably with internship or co-op experience. Individuals must exhibit clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment, possess a dynamic energy that thrives in a fast-paced environment and the capacity to confront challenges.
As an Emerging Professional, you’ll work alongside experienced project managers, architects and engineers on a variety of commercial projects. You’ll contribute to the design process, help produce construction documents, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle. This is a fast-paced, high-growth environment tailored to help you develop the skills needed to pursue licensure and long-term success.
Responsibilities
Draft construction documents and support architectural production in Revit and/or AutoCAD
Assist with code research, material studies, and technical detailing
Coordinate drawing sets and submittals under direction of project leadership
Collaborate with structural and MEP engineers in an integrated team environment
Participate in site visits and surveys with Project Managers or others to gain field experience
Engage in design discussions and contribute to problem-solving across teams and with consultants and clients
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture, or commensurate experience in the profession.
A strong interest in pursuing professional licensure
Excellent communication and organization skills
A proactive mindset and a desire to learn in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting
Basic Proficiency in the use of the tools required for their clients and projects. REVIT and/or AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
