Mathew Root is the Chief Executive Officer of MJM Architects, a role he assumed following the firm’s merger with Entech Engineering. He joined MJM in 1998 and has over 25 years of experience, primarily focused on retail construction projects.

He continues to serve as Principal-in-Charge on multiple projects nationwide, managing and directing project teams through all phases of design, documentation, and construction administration. Root specializes in prototype rollouts and other specialized projects, leveraging his knowledge of building systems to contribute to efficient design coordination from concept through construction. He also works closely with municipalities to adapt prototype designs to meet local zoning, planning, and design standards while maintaining the client's corporate identity.
